Make a Hey Birthday Chick Bridge Fold Cards

What’s better than one fantastic bundle? Two fantastic (coordinating) bundles! The Hey Chick Stamp Set (a 2017 Sale-A-Bration set) has returned and brought along three new friends: The Chick Dies and a brand-new bundle that includes the Hey Birthday Chick Stamp Set and the Birthday Chick Dies. These playful images are so fun to stamp. You’ll love sending the punny cards you make to all your friends. Available 2 February–30 June 2021.

I made this bridge fold card during this week’s Make-it-Monday Facebook Live using the Hey Birthday Chick Bundle:

Bridge cards are 3-dimensional and can stand-up on their own yet fold to fit into a standard A2 size envelope. To make a bridge card similar to this one start with an 8″ x 4-1/4″ piece of cardstock. For my Hey Birthday Chick card I used a piece of Just Jade for the card base. Next you will need to create score lines on the 8″ side of the cardstock. See the diagram below for measurements.

Let’s Get Fancy with Bridge Fold Cards!

I had so much fun making the bridge card that I made another one using the Hey Birthday Chick Bundle. This one uses a die-cut for the bridge that I placed at the center of the card instead of the card base. I also added some embossing on the panels.

Bridge Card using Portrait Mode

The above cards are made in landscape mode but you can also create bridge cards in portrait mode as I have done here.

The measurements and scoring and different when making a bridge card in portrait mode. You begin with a 5-3/4″ x 5-1/2″ card base then score according to the diagram below.

I just love the Hey Chick Bundles by Stampin’ Up and have developed a weird relationship with the those cool chicks! I’ve already named the large hen Henny Penny, and for some reason I’m calling the cupcake chicken Wanda.

I know Henny Penny and Wanda would love to meet you too! Click on the images below to grab one or both of these bundles!
