Spruced Up Christmas Card made using the Four Corners Technique

Make four cards at once? Yes, please! Today’s cards are brought to you by the Four Corners Technique. This was my first time using this technique and I will try it again!

Make sure you watch the video replay from today’s Make-it-Monday Facebook Live to learn how fun and easy cards are to make using the Four Corners Technique.

Several comments during the Facebook live were about the colors I used in the cards. My new favorite Christmas color combo is Real Red with Tahitian Tide.

Make a Spruced Up Spinner Card

I’m sharing an interactive card with you today. The Spruced Up Spinner Card was a lot of fun to make!

The ornament die-cut from the Spruced Up Bundle by Stampin’ Up! worked beautifully for the spinner element. I used Evening Evergreen and Real Red inks to stamp the images onto my card. Those colors were pulled from the Painted Christmas Designer Series Paper. A gold foil ornament top and gold embossing on the snowflake added a little sparkle to the card.

I’m enjoying the Spruced Up Bundle and can’t stop myself! Here are a few more examples of projects made with the bundle.

Make a Bewitching Trick-or-Treat Halloween Treat Box

I have another Bewitching Halloween Treat Holder project for you today! There are no tricks, only treats, about this 3-D paper crafting design!

The base for the Bewitching Halloween Treat Holder is fairly simple to complete. It uses two 6″ x 4-1/4″ pieces of Basic Black card stock. Here is a cutting and scoring guide for you to use when making your own box. Remember to cut and score two.

Make a Spruced-Up Christmas Tree Card

I’ve been noticing a trend of pink Christmas cards and wanted to give them a go today. My Spruced-Up Christmas Tree Card uses a lot of colors. And, because of all that color, I tried to keep the design simple.

What could be more simple than triangles? I used the Stylish Shapes dies from Stampin’ Up! to cut out four stitched squares and then cut them in half. The triangles can now be stacked to create a Christmas tree! You can make two cards using the die-cut squares.

I shared the emboss/resist technique that I used for this card in the video tutorial below. I also showed how to use your dies in alternate ways.

Make a Hello Harvest Turkey-Shaped Treat Holder

The Hello Harvest Turkey-Shaped Treat Holder I’m sharing today is a quirky little fellow. The basket of the treat holder measures 2″ tall and 3-1/2″ wide. It’s big enough to hold a significant number of harvest treats!

I think the Hello Harvest Turkey-Shaped Treat Holder would make an incredible gift at everyone’s place at the holiday table. A perfect gift for a co-worker or a flock of them would be a fun contribution to the book club.

The basket is made from a 6″ x 6″ piece of cardstock scored at 2″ and 4″ on both sides. Score at 5/8″ and 1-3/8″ on each corner panel. Make a tic mark at 3″ on the top and bottom middle panels. Use a ruler and stylus to create a diagonal score line from the tic mark to the corners of the middle panels per diagram.

Cut on the score lines per diagram:

Once the scoring and cutting are done, the basket is ready to assemble and embellish. I used the Layering Circles Dies and the Hello Harvest Bundle from Stampin’ Up! to finish the Hello Harvest Turkey-Shaped Treat Holder. Watch the video below for complete project directions.

Make a Cottage Wreaths Fancy Fold Christmas Card!

I’m always ready to learn a new fancy fold for my card making. The Cottage Wreaths Fancy-Fold Christmas Card I’m sharing today is a 4-1/4″ x 4-1/4″ square card. I used the Cottage Wreaths Bundle from Stampin’ Up! to decorate the front flap.

I purchased the Cottage Wreaths Bundle because of its versatility. The bundle can be used for all holidays and occasions. Here it is decked out for Halloween.

I’m loving the Real Red Glimmer Paper bow and the sparkly sequins on the wreath. The fancy part of this card is the fold. It’s like a card within a card and the effect was so easy to achieve!

Make a This Birthday Piggy Pop-Up Card

I recently received one of the Perfect Partners Bundles from Stampin’ Up! The bundle I ordered was the This Birthday Piggy Bundle.

I knew these adorable piggy images would work beautifully on a pop-up card. This pop-up card technique does not require special dies or tools to achieve.

The front of the card is simple with an embossed background, a die-cut image, and a sentiment tag.

The inside of the card is full of all the fun. What could be more fun than a happy pig racing her scooter past fields of flowers to help someone celebrate her birthday?

Make a Spruced Up Scalloped Christmas Card

Are you a fan of How the Grinch Stole Christmas? The images from the book and the movies are fun and whimsical. The Spruced Up Scalloped Christmas Card project I’m sharing with you today reminds me of those playful images.

The card base measures 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″. I created some interest by cutting a scalloped edge about 1-1/4″ from the bottom of the front flap of the Pool Party card base. I also cut a scalloped edge from a 2″ x 4″ piece of Designer Series Paper for a sweet surprise when you open the card.

The Celebrate Everything Designer Series Paper on the card front measures 4″ x 3-1/2. The Poppy Parade square on the card front equals 2-1/2″ x 2-1/2″.

Make a Cottage Wreaths Mini Cutting Board for Fall Decor

I stumbled across mini cutting boards during a recent visit to Hobby Lobby. Of course, I had to make something using them and here is the result:

I painted the 3-1/2″ x 7″ natural wood cutting boards with white spray paint and then embellished them using the Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper and the Cottage Wreaths Bundle from Stampin’ Up!

Make a Bewitching Halloween Cauldron Treat Holder

Today I’m sharing a Bewitching Halloween Cauldron Treat Holder. I found the plastic mini cauldrons at a local Dollar Tree store and knew I wanted to embellish them for Halloween. You can also find the same plastic buckets on Amazon.

These treat holders would make excellent class party favors, coworker treats, and teacher gifts. And, bonus, they are quick and easy to make! I used the Bewitching Bundle by Stampin’ Up! to decorate the cauldrons.

A strip of window sheet helped to make it appear that the witch has fallen into the cauldron. Another small detail that I love about this Bewitching Halloween Cauldron treat holder is the spider hanging from the witch’s hat.
